Playas del Coco

A long-established beach community, Playas del Coco has developed a reputation as a favored spot for young travelers and locals to let loose by the sea.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sun): get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Hermosa, and then take in the exciting artwork at Rojas Bros Boruca Indigenous Arts. On the 3rd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then stop by Lis Umana Beachwear.

Ottawa, Canada to Playas del Coco is an approximately 12-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Mon) early enough to drive to Tamarindo.
