As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Beijing Capital Museum and Chinese Imperial Post will appeal to museum buffs. Kids will appreciate attractions like Yandai Xie Street and Beijing Botanical Garden. When in Beijing, make a side trip to see Plaza 66 in Tianjin, approximately Tianjin away. You can take a train from Qufu to Shanghai in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi, flight, and subway; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 60°F in March, and nighttime lows around 45°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Thu) so you can go by car to Hangzhou.
