Birthplace of Chinese Civilization

Historians often describe Xi'an, capital city for over a dozen dynasties, as the birthplace of Chinese civilization.
On the 24th (Tue), explore the world behind art at Tang Bo Art Museum, stroll through Daxingshan Temple, and then look for gifts at Muslim market. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cuihua Mountain.

The home of giant pandas for more than two million years, Chengdu's vast human history cowers in comparison to the natural heritage of the area.
On the 26th (Thu), find something for the whole family at Happy Valley of Chengdu, then examine the collection at Sichuan Cuisine Museum, and then take in the views from Anshun Bridge (Dongmen Bridge). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 27th (Fri): look for gifts at Suit Republic and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Qingyang Palace (Green Ram Temple).

While not really a tourist city, Guiyang has a number of attractions, a welcoming character, and offers convenient access to a wealth of regional sites.
On the 28th (Sat), examine the collection at Guizhou Province Nationality Museum and then take a peaceful walk through Guizhou Forest Park. On the next day, steep yourself in history at Gaopo Miao Nationality Country.

You can take a train from Chengdu to Guiyang in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive.
