Traveling by train from Segovia to Salamanca takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Segovia in May, expect a bit cooler with lows of 8°C in Salamanca. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Thu) so you can catch the train to Valladolid.

A city of booming industry with a strong emphasis on leisure and cultural involvement, Valladolid is also known for its historical heritage and medieval feel.

Take a train from Salamanca to Valladolid in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In May in Valladolid, expect temperatures between 23°C during the day and 7°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Leon.

León is the capital of the province of León, located in the northwest of Spain. You've now added El Transcantabrico to your itinerary. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria de Leon Cathedral, appreciate the extensive heritage of Guias Legio, contemplate the long history of Plaza Del Grano, and take in the spiritual surroundings of La Basilica De San Isidoro De Leon.

Getting from Valladolid to Leon by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In May, daytime highs in Leon are 22°C, while nighttime lows are 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Burgos.

Burgos is a city in northern Spain and the historic capital of Castile. Get out of town with these interesting Burgos side-trips: Catedral de Palencia (in Palencia), San Pedro Cultural (in Becerril de Campos) and Cascada de Orbaneja del Castillo (in Orbaneja del Castillo).
