The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.
For shopping fun, head to Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert or Avenue Louise. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Grand Place and Eglise Notre Dame Du Sablon. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Brussels: Memorial Waterloo 1815 (in Braine-l'Alleud), Antwerp (Te Boelaerpark & Rubens House (Rubenshuis)) and Hallerbos – ‘'The Blue Forest’' (in Halle). Step off the beaten path and head to Church of Our Lady Bruges and De Panne Beach. Get some cultural insight at Historic Centre of Brugge and Groeningemuseum.
