Atlanta

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The Forum on Peachtree Parkway and Mall of Georgia. Take a break from the city and head to Rolling Thunder River Company and Chastain Park. When in Atlanta, make a side trip to see McFarlane Nature Park in Marietta, approximately Marietta away. There's much more to do: admire the masterpieces at National Center for Civil and Human Rights, get a taste of the local shopping with HomeGrown Decatur, hunt for treasures at Your Dekalb Farmers Market, and browse the different shops at Lenox Square.

To see where to stay and tourist information, read Atlanta trip planner.

Manchester, UK to Atlanta is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is usually a -5 hour difference. When traveling from Manchester in September, plan for much warmer days and somewhat warmer nights in Atlanta: temperatures range from 34°C by day to 22°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Orlando.

Take a break from the city and head to Discovery Cove and Scuba & Snorkeling. Do your shopping at The Mall at Millenia and Orlando International Premium Outlets. Change things up with a short trip to Franklin Anderson Gallery in Crystal River (about 1h 40 min away). Pack the 25th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Orlando Resort. Pack the 26th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. There's lots more to do: buy something for everyone on your list at Disney Springs, pause for some serene contemplation at St James Roman Catholic Cathedral, laugh and play at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and see Kennedy Space Center Shop.
