The state's commercial, if not political hub, Ahmedabad stands as a sprawling metropolis with some important historical sites.

Diu

The main town on the island of the same name, Diu connects to the south coast of Gujurat by bridge.
On the 19th (Tue), head outdoors with Naida Caves, then kick back and relax at Ghogla Beach, then pause for some serene contemplation at St Thomas Church, and finally contemplate the long history of Diu Fort. On your second day here, take in the spiritual surroundings of Gangeshwar Temple, enjoy the sand and surf at Nagoa Beach, and then go for a walk through INS Khukri Memorial.

Getting from Sasan Gir to Diu by car takes about 2.5 hours. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Dwarka.
