On the fringe of greater Vancouver, the city of Richmond has a reputation as one of Canada's greatest melting pots.
Escape the urban bustle at Dolphin & Whale Watching and Jericho Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Steveston Heritage Fishing Village and Spanish Banks. Change things up with a short trip to Deep Cove in North Vancouver (about 40 minutes away). The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at International Buddhist Society (Buddhist Temple), enjoy the sand and surf at Kitsilano Beach, and admire the striking features of Bloedel Conservatory.

Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Audain Art Museum and Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Get in touch with nature at Shannon Falls Provincial Park and Brandywine Falls Provincial Park. Get out of town with these interesting Whistler side-trips: Garibaldi Provincial Park (in Brackendale) and Squamish (Stawamus Chief Park & Squamish Oceanfront Interpretive Trail). Nakusp Hot Springs, Chalets, and Campground has been added to your itinerary. Get some cultural insight at The SS Moyie National Historic Site and Sandon Museum. Take a break from the city and head to Waterfront Walkway and Kaslo River Trail.
