The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
On the 2nd (Tue), get engrossed in the history at Mud Island, thenlook for gifts at Lansky, thenadmire the striking features of The Orpheum Theatre, and finally contemplate the long history of Sun Studio. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed): pause for some photo ops at National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel, thenlook for gifts at Memphis Music, thenstop by A. Schwab, and finally try to win big at Gold Strike Casino.

Head to Hatch Show Print and Lynchburg Hardware and General Storefor some retail therapy. You'll explore and learn at Lotz House Museum and Frist Art Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Nashville: Bowie Nature Park (in Fairview), George Dickel Distillery (in Tullahoma) and Loretta Lynn's Ranch (in Hurricane Mills). The adventure continues: examine the collection at Lane Motor Museum, stroll around Moss-Wright Park, wander the streets of Downtown Nashville, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

On the 8th (Mon), look for all kinds of wild species at Lula Lake & Land Trust, thenexplore the striking landscape of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, and then do a tasting at The Georgia Winery. On the 9th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in nature's colorful creations at Rock City Gardens and then stop by Lodge Factory Store.

Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Wed): stop by The Apple Barn Cider Mill And General Store, thenlearn about winemaking at Apple Barn Winery, thenlook for all kinds of wild species at Ijams Nature Center, and finally savor the flavors at Old Forge Distillery. Here are some ideas for day two: do a tasting at Hillside Winery, sample the fine beverages at Tennessee Legend Distillery - Newport Hwy, and then look for gifts at Smoky Mountain Cat House.
