Start off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): steep yourself in history at Historic City of Ayutthaya and then delve into the distant past at Wat Mahathat. Keep things going the next day: admire the striking features of Wat Chaiwatthanaram, examine the collection at Pridi Banomyong Memorial, then take a stroll through Ayutthaya Ruins, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Muang.

When traveling from Ayutthaya in April, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Pattaya: temperatures range from 38°C by day to 32°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Ao Nang.

Head to the resort town of Ao Nang for a holiday by the sea and an exploration of an area where many dive instruction centers offer training necessary to access some of the region's best dive spots.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Phang Nga Bay and River Rafting & Tubing. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Railay Beach, head off the coast to Poda Island, explore the galleries of Dao Art Gallery, and Head underground at Diamond Cave (Tham Phra Nang Nai).
