Sitting between the mountains and the sea, Taitung offers pleasing scenery no matter what direction you face.

Tainan

The oldest city in the country, Tainan stood as the island's capital during feudal times.

Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Tainan in March: high temperatures in Nantou hover around 25°C and lows are around 16°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Wed) so you can go by car to Taichung.
