Manila, Philippines to Matsuyama is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Manila to Matsuyama. Expect cooler temperatures when traveling from Manila in December; daily highs in Matsuyama reach 13°C and lows reach 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Mon) early enough to drive to Kochi.

Getting from Matsuyama to Kochi by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 15°C in December, and nighttime lows around 4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Wed) to allow enough time to take a train to Miyoshi.

Take a train from Kochi to Miyoshi in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Kochi in January, you will find days in Miyoshi are a bit cooler (8°C), and nights are about the same (1°C). Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Naruto.
