Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Do your shopping at Picaresque Books and Judith Glue. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Loch Morlich and Nairn Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Aigas Field Centre (in Beauly), The Potting Shed Tearoom Inshriach (in Aviemore) and Cairngorm Reindeer Centre (in Glenmore). Dornoch is a town and seaside resort, and former Royal burgh in the Highlands of Scotland. For shopping fun, head to Pandora's Emporium or Orcadian Stone Exhibition and gift shop. Visit Dornoch Beach and Embo Beach for some beach relaxation. Change things up with these side-trips from Dornoch: The Cheese House (in Cromarty) and Brora Beach (in Brora). The adventure continues: stop by The Carnegie Whisky Cellars and tee off at Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Kinlochbervie is a harbour village in the north west of Sutherland, in the Highland region of Scotland. On the 18th (Sun), stroll through Polin Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Oldshoremore Beach, and then view the masterpieces at Lotte Glob. On the 19th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Scourie Bay, stop by The Culkein Store, then enjoy the sand and surf at Clachtoll Beach Campsite, then stop by Highland Stoneware, Baddidarroch, and finally take in the views from Kylesku Bridge.
