A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
We've included these beaches for you: Trinity Beach and Palm Cove Beach. Step out of Cairns to go to Palm Cove and see Spas, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour and trek along Esplanade Boardwalk.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Cairns is an approximately 21.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Arabia Standard Time (AST) to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Queensland) (AEST), which is usually a 7 hour difference. A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Thu): kick back and relax at Myall Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Thornton Beach, and then go for a walk through Marrdja Botanical Walk. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 18th (Fri): stroll through Cape Tribulation Beach, learn more about the world around you at Daintree Entomological museum, then enjoy the sand and surf at Cow Bay Beach, and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Alexandra Bay Waterfall.
