A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Get a sense of the local culture at El Faro Lighthouse and Church of Porta Coeli. Explore hidden gems such as Domes Beach and Sandy Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Rincon: Crashboat Beach (in Aguadilla) and Cabo Rojo (Los Morrillos Light & Buye Beach). There's still lots to do: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, identify plant and animal life at Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

New York City, USA to Rincon is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from New York City to Rincon. Expect a bit warmer evenings in Rincon when traveling from New York City in July, with lows around 80°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Ponce.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. On the 18th (Thu), examine the collection at Parque de Bombas, get a taste of the local shopping with Centro Cultural Carmen Sola de Pereira de Ponce, and then step off the mainland to explore Isla de Caja de Muertos. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Fri): steep yourself in history at Hacienda Buena Vista, then see the interesting displays at El Museo Castillo Serralles, then explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Ponce, and finally steep yourself in history at Casa Wiechers-Villaronga.

Traveling by car from Rincon to Ponce takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and shuttle. In July, daytime highs in Ponce are 86°F, while nighttime lows are 76°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Fri) early enough to go by car to San Juan.

Discover out-of-the-way places like Playa Vega Baja and Playa Mar Chiquita. You'll get in some beach time at Balneario Luquillo and Ocean Park Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Zipline (in Luquillo), Fajardo (Icacos Island & Fishing Charters & Tours) and El Yunque Rain Forest (in El Yunque National Forest). Drive from Ponce to San Juan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle. In July, plan for daily highs up to 89°F, and evening lows to 78°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Wed) early enough to catch the flight to Culebra.

Get in touch with nature at Carlos Rosario Beach and Culebrita Island. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Zoni Beach and Flamenco Beach. Next up on the itinerary: enjoy the sand and surf at Tamarindo Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Punta Soldado Beach, and see the interesting displays at Museo Historico de Culebra.
