Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Escape the urban bustle at Nature & Wildlife Tours and Cabo da Roca. Get some historical perspective at Belém Tower and Park and National Palace of Pena. Change things up with a short trip to Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra (about 36 minutes away). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Castelo de S. Curitiba, Brazil to Lisbon is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of shuttle and flight. Traveling from Curitiba to Lisbon, you'll lose 3 hours due to the time zone difference. Expect a daytime high around 28°C in October, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) so you can drive to Evora.

You can drive from Lisbon to Evora in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In October in Evora, expect temperatures between 29°C during the day and 16°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Lagos.

The allure of the beaches and the town's historical center draw visitors to Lagos, a coastal destination in the Barlavento region of the Algarve.
You'll get in some beach time at Praia Da Rocha and Falesia Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Praia da Marinha and Telheiro Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Algar de Benagil (in Benagil), Praia do Amado (in Aljezur) and Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Albufeira). And it doesn't end there: take in the dramatic natural features at Ponta Da Piedale, enjoy the sand and surf at Praia Vale Dos Homens, and stroll through Tres Castelos Beach.

Getting from Evora to Lagos by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train, flight, and bus. Traveling from Evora in October, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 20°C in Lagos. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Tavira.

Tavira has succeeded at escaping the flood of tourism that has affected other coastal Portuguese towns over the years.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Sun): kick back and relax at Caramelo Beach Club, tour the pleasant surroundings at Praia Monte Gordo, and then kick back and relax at Cabanas de Tavira beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Mon): get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then pick up some local products at Mercado Municipal de Loulé (Desde 1908), then enjoy the sand and surf at Garrao Nascente Beach, and finally look for gifts at Casa Gineta.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Visit Praia do Carneiro and Mindelo Beach for some beach relaxation. Head to Palacio da Bolsa and Mercado Bom Sucessofor some retail therapy. Fly from Tavira to Porto in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. Traveling from Tavira in October, expect little chillier with lows of 15°C in Porto. On the 24th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
