Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Sun): don't miss a visit to Elevador de Santa Justa, don't miss a visit to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco), then steep yourself in history at Castelo de S. Jorge, and finally take a stroll through Alfama. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the striking features of Quinta da Regaleira, then contemplate the long history of Sintra National Palace, and then admire the landmark architecture of Park and National Palace of Pena.

Sesimbra is a municipality of Portugal, in the Setúbal District, lying at the foothills of the Serra da Arrábida, a mountain range between Setúbal and Sesimbra. On the 18th (Tue), head outdoors with Praia do Meco, don't miss a visit to Fonte dos Pasmados, and then do a tasting at Quinta do Alcube.
