Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Parapuerto, El Parque del Amor and Parque Kennedy - Parque Central de Miraflores. Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sat): walk around Parque Kennedy - Parque Central de Miraflores, stroll through El Parque del Amor, then glide through the air with Parapuerto, and finally take in the waterfront at Miraflores Boardwalk.

Toronto, Canada to Lima is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. When traveling from Toronto in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Lima: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 19°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 7th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Paracas.

Located on the Ica River in the desert areas of Peru's southern coast, the city of Ica stands as something of an oasis in the dry, barren landscape.
Buggy Tour Huacachina has been added to your itinerary. On the 8th (Mon), push the limits with Buggy Tour Huacachina. Getting from Ica to Arequipa by flight takes about 7.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Ica in July, Arequipa is slightly colder at night with lows of 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Puno.

Hugging the western tip of Lake Titicaca, Puno serves as a melting pot of indigenous and imported cultures, and makes a great base for explorations around the region.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): stroll the grounds of Sillustani, then step off the mainland to explore Taquile Island, and then get great views at Mirador Ing. Eduardo Sanchez. Keep things going the next day: head off the coast to Uros Floating Islands, then explore the activities along Lake Titicaca, and then make a trip to Catedral de Puno.

You can drive from Arequipa to Puno in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Arequipa in July, you will find days in Puno are little chillier (20°C), and nights are much colder (-5°C). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Cusco.

Capital of the Inca Empire for three centuries, World Heritage-listed Cusco is now a major tourist destination, drawing nearly 2 million annual tourists with its well-preserved colonial architecture and proximity to Machu Picchu.
Step out of Cusco to go to Maras and see Salinas de Maras, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. There's still lots to do: explore the ancient world of Sacsayhuaman, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia De Santo Domingo, examine the collection at Museo de Arte Precolombino, and steep yourself in history at Plaza de Armas.

Traveling by combination of bus and flight from Puno to Cusco takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Puno in July, plan for a bit warmer nights in Cusco, with lows around 1°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
