Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Lima is known for parks, historic sites, and museums. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, savor the flavors at Food & Drink, don't miss a visit to Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), and walk around Circuito Magico Del Agua.

Curitiba, Brazil to Lima is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from Brasilia Time (BRT) to Peru Time (PET), which is usually a -2 hour difference. Plan for a bit warmer nights when traveling from Curitiba in April since evenings lows in Lima dip to 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) early enough to travel to Maras.

Maras is a town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 40 kilometers north of Cuzco, in the Cuzco Region of Peru. Start off your visit on the 1st (Fri): explore the ancient world of Moray and then take in the dramatic natural features at Salinas de Maras.

You can do a combination of flight and taxi from Lima to Maras in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Lima in April, you will find days in Maras are little chillier (23°C), and nights are colder (7°C). Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Fri) early enough to travel to Machu Picchu.

Hugging the western tip of Lake Titicaca, Puno serves as a melting pot of indigenous and imported cultures, and makes a great base for explorations around the region.
On the 7th (Thu), step off the mainland to explore Uros Floating Islands, take some stellar pictures from Mirador Ing. Eduardo Sanchez, and then head off the coast to Taquile Island. On your second day here, explore the activities along Lake Titicaca, then walk around Parque Pino, and then explore the ancient world of Sillustani.

Traveling by combination of flight and bus from Cusco to Puno takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Cusco in May, plan for a bit cooler nights in Puno, with lows around -1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Arequipa.
