Zamami-son

The village of Zamami-son in the western Kerama Islands spans four of the islands in the group, one of which remains uninhabited.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Mon): head off the coast to Gahi Island, kick back and relax at Gahijima Sand Dune, then kick back and relax at Nishibama Beach, then take some stellar pictures from Unajinosachi Observatory, and finally head off the coast to Zamami Island. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 29th (Tue): head off the coast to Aka Island, take in panoramic vistas at Amagusuku Observatory, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ibinume Shrine, enjoy breathtaking views from Takatsukiyama Observatory Deck, then identify plant and animal life at Toma, and finally take some stellar pictures from Chishi Observatory.

You can drive from Zamami-son to Nakijin-son in 3 hours. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Zamami-son in December since evenings lows in Nakijin-son dip to 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 31st (Thu) so you can go by car to Naha.

Naha

Capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom

Naha, the capital of Okinawa, has deep roots: Stone Age relics have been found in the city, and through the Middle Ages it rose in importance in the Ryukyu Kingdom.
You've now added Jumbo Tours to your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Naha: Itoman (The Tower of Himeyuri, Heiwa no Ishiji, &more) and Onna-son (Manza Beach & Cape Manzamo). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Shurijo Castle, don't miss a visit to Shrikinjocho Stone-Path Road, head off the coast to Senagajima Island, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Naminoue-gu Shrine.
