Traveling by car from Chefchaouen to Rabat takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and train; or take a bus. In December, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 32°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Essaouira.

Essaouira

The laidback town of Essaouira, known for its forceful trade winds, attracts Moroccan and foreign tourists alike with its sweeping beaches and atmospheric, labyrinthine medina, a World Heritage Site.
Get some cultural insight at Medina of Essaouira and Galerie la Kasbah. Get in touch with nature at Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kaouki Surf School. Getting from Rabat to Essaouira by combination of train and flight takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and bus. When traveling from Rabat in December, plan for little chillier days and much colder nights in Essaouira: temperatures range from 23°C by day to 11°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Marrakech.
