Linz

— 13 nights
Located on the Danube with a rolling green backdrop, Linz is a city equally rich in nature and culture.
St. Stephen's Cathedral and Wachau Valley are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Museum-lovers will appreciate MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art and Nordico Stadtmuseum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Linz: Durnstein (Burgruine Duernstein & Stift Durnstein), Weissenkirchen (Wehrkirche St. Michael & Wehrkirche Mariae Himmelfahrt) and Vienna (Ringstrasse, Augustinerkirche, &more). The adventure continues: identify plant and animal life at Cumberland Wildpark Tierpark Grunau, get to know the fascinating history of Oberer Stadtplatz, Silberzeile, take in the spiritual surroundings of Melk Abbey, and get outside with Grottenbahn.

For maps, other places to visit, traveler tips, and other tourist information, read our Linz online holiday builder.

If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major aiport is Linz-Hörsching Airport / Vogler Air Base. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
