Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
For shopping fun, head to Ginza or Asakusa. Do some cultural sightseeing at Senso-ji Temple and Odaiba District. The adventure continues: take in nature's colorful creations at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, explore the world behind art at Tokyo National Museum, stroll around Ueno Park, and make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine.

On the 6th (Thu), stop by Yamasa Kamaboko Yumesenkan, thenstep into the grandiose world of Himeji Castle, thentake in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, and finally make a trip to Otemae Street.

When traveling from Osaka in May, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Himeji: temperatures range from °C by day to °C at night.
