A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Wed): head outdoors with Toguchi no Hama, take in the views from Irabu Ohashi, kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach, then kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, and finally get outside with Sunayama Beach. On the 21st (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then step off the mainland to explore Shimojiiima Island, and then don't miss a visit to Ikema Ohashi Bridge.

On the 22nd (Fri), take an in-depth tour of Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture, take an in-depth tour of 26 Martyrs Museum, examine the collection at Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, then get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, then examine the collection at Dejima, and finally admire the masterpieces at Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate the long history of Suwa Shrine, take a stroll through Shinchi Chinatown, steep yourself in history at Glover House and Office, then see the interesting displays at Nagasaki Museum of Traditional Performing Arts, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Inasayama Observation Deck.
