In January, daily temperatures in Hiroshima can reach 11°C, while at night they dip to 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Wed) early enough to catch the train to Nagoya.

Start off your visit on the 16th (Thu): engage your brain at Nagoya City Science Museum, tour the pleasant surroundings at Suido Michi Green Road, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Atsuta Jingu Shrine, then contemplate the waterfront views at Yamazaki River, and finally wander the streets of Sakae.
