A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Eiffel Tower. Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre will appeal to history buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at Louvre Museum and Trocadero. There's still lots to do: shop like a local with Champs-Elysees, take a stroll through Le Marais, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, and get to know the fascinating history of Latin Quarter.

Pompeii has been a tourist destination for more than 250 years.
Parco Acheologico di Ercolano and Anfiteatro Romano will appeal to history buffs. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Paestum Ruins and Badia della Santissima Trinita'. Go for a jaunt from Pompeii to Vietri sul Mare to see Sol’Art Ceramiche about 32 minutes away. There's more to do: delve into the distant past at Pompeii Archaeological Park and steep yourself in history at Forum.

Traveling by flight from Paris to Pompeii takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Traveling from Paris in May, things will get a bit warmer in Pompeii: highs are around 27°C and lows about 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Thu) early enough to catcht the bus to Naples.

Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. Catacombe di San Gaudioso and Chiesa dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo - Complesso Museale dell'Arte della Seta will appeal to history buffs. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Nazionale Ferroviario di Pietrarsa and The Neapolis Buried.
