The former capital of Guatemala and a World Heritage Site, Antigua retains its colonial charm and remains one of the most visited destinations in the country.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Tue): examine the collection at Museo Casa del Tejido Antiguo, indulge in your favorite hot beverage with a coffee and tea tour, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral de Santiago. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Palacio Nacional, explore the ancient world of Convento Santa Clara, and then get interesting insight from Tours.

Montreal, Canada to Antigua is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Montreal to Antigua. Traveling from Montreal in February, expect Antigua to be much warmer, temps between 28°C and 15°C. Getting from Antigua to Flores by combination of shuttle and flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a shuttle; or drive. Traveling from Antigua in February, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 21°C in Flores. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Fri) so you can catch the shuttle to Lanquin.

San Agustín Lanquín, often referred to simply as Lanquín, is a municipality in the Guatemalan department of Alta Verapaz. Take a break from Lanquin with a short trip to Parque Nacional Las Victorias in Coban, about 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Monumento Natural Semuc Champey, Head underground at Lanquin Caves, explore the striking landscape of Parque Nacional Grutas de Lanquin, and head outdoors with Aventura Grande.

Traveling by shuttle from Flores to Lanquin takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Flores in February, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Lanquin: temperatures range from 38°C by day to 24°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Panajachel.

A little town with a thriving tourism industry, Panajachel sits on the northern shore of scenic Atitlan Lake, one of Guatemala's major vacation destinations.
Step out of Panajachel with an excursion to Indian Nose in San Pedro La Laguna--about 1h 25 min away. There's still lots to do: get impressive views of Lake Atitlan, browse the different shops at Mayanke, Ceramica Pintada a Mano, see the interesting displays at Museo Arqueologico Azul Maya, and take in the exciting artwork at La Galeria.

Traveling by car from Lanquin to Panajachel takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Lanquin in February, with highs in Panajachel at 28°C and lows at 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Thu) to allow time to take a bus to Antigua.

Enjoy Antigua some more: get impressive views of Volcán Pacaya, delve into the distant past at Arco de Santa Catalina, don't miss a visit to Cerro de la Cruz, and pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia de La Merced.
