A global center of finance and transportation, Frankfurt is perhaps best known for its futuristic cityscape.
Take a break from the city and head to Messel Pit Fossil Site and Neroberg. Museum-lovers will appreciate Liebieghaus and Museum Embankment. Step out of Frankfurt to go to Heidelberg and see Philosophers' Way (Philosophenweg), which is approximately 1h 10 min away.
