Surrounded by a series of white sand dunes, Corralejo is tiny enough to explore on foot or bicycle.
Venture out of the city with trips to Caleta de Fuste (Deep Blue Diving Base & Plage de El Castillo), Betancuria (Morro Velosa Statues, Viewpoint Las Peñitas, &more) and La Molina de la Asomada (in La Asomada). There's much more to do: stroll through Parque Natural de Corralejo, step off the mainland to explore Isla de Lobos, make a splash at Acua Water Park, and see Off-Road Tours.

Fuerteventura can be loosely translated as either "Strong Winds" or "Great Adventure," and both translations usually become applicable at some point during a trip here. One of the larger Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is a popular windsurfing and kitesurfing destination, boasting a long coastline of unspoiled white beaches washed by the crystalline waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Water sports aren’t the only things to do on the island, however. It’s also a biosphere reserve rich in remote wilderness areas set aside for protected wildlife, most notably one of the two surviving populations of threatened Egyptian vulture. Of volcanic origin, the island also has an attractive countryside of sleepy villages, ancient volcanoes, and tall palm trees.
