One of Europe's most culturally diverse cities, Stockholm extends over 14 islands, united by a series of tunnels and bridges.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Vasa Museum and Royal Palace. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Skansen, find something for the whole family at Junibacken, get engrossed in the history at Hallwyl Museum (Hallwylska Museet), and head off the coast to Langholmen.

Melbourne, Australia to Stockholm is an approximately 24-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone difference moving from Australian Eastern Standard Time (Victoria) to Central European Time is minus 9 hours. Traveling from Melbourne in July, things will get a bit warmer in Stockholm: highs are around 26°C and lows about 14°C. Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Thu): take in the waterfront at Nyhavn, appreciate the history behind The Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue), and then get in on the family fun at Tivoli Gardens. On the 10th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Denmark, step into the grandiose world of Rosenborg Castle, then admire the landmark architecture of Kastellet, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Rundetarn.

Fly from Stockholm to Copenhagen in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. In July in Copenhagen, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 14°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can travel to Dublin.

A history spanning over a thousand years, vibrant nightlife, and a mix of Georgian and modern architecture make Dublin a popular European tourist destination.
On the 11th (Sat), steep yourself in history at Kilmainham Gaol, then see the interesting displays at Guinness Storehouse, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Saint Patrick's Cathedral, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Michan's Church. On the next day, wander the streets of Temple Bar, then stroll around St Stephens Green, and then stroll around Phoenix Park.

You can fly from Copenhagen to Dublin in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and ferry; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time (CET) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is minus 1 hour. In July, plan for daily highs up to 23°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Rome.

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Colosseum and Palatine Hill. There's much more to do: make a trip to Trevi Fountain, admire the masterpieces at Galleria Borghese, stroll the grounds of Catacombe di San Callisto, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santa Maria in Trastevere.
