An enviable location on the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula and year-round warm weather boost tourism in Sharm El Sheikh and make it one of Egypt's premier travel destinations.

Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): pause for some photo ops at Luxor Temple, then get engrossed in the history at Luxor Museum, and then delve into the distant past at Temple of Karnak. On your second day here, explore the different monuments and memorials at Valley of the Kings, then explore the ancient world of Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Banana Island (Gezira el-Mozh).

You can drive from Marsa Alam to Luxor in 5.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. On the 10th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
