Droitwich Spa is a town in northern Worcestershire, England, on the River Salwarpe. The town was called Salinae in Roman times, then later called Wyche, derived from the Anglo Saxon Hwicce kingdom, referred to as "Saltwich" according to Anglo Saxon charters, with the Droit added when the town was given its charter on 1 August 1215 by King John. Step off the beaten path and head to Clent Hills and Stourport Basins Waterside. Venture out of the city with trips to Offenham Maypole (in Offenham), Evesham (War Memorial Evesham, St Lawrence's Church, & more) and Church of St Peter (in Melverley). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 3rd (Sun) at Aztec Adventure. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Museum of Carpet, have fun and explore at Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle, brush up on your military savvy at Drakelow Tunnels, and make a trip to Pershore Abbey.

For maps, other places to visit, ratings, and other tourist information, read our Droitwich sightseeing planning website .

In February, plan for daily highs up to 8°C, and evening lows to 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
