Devonport

— 8 nights
Looking out across the Bass Strait towards Melbourne, Devonport stands out against a backdrop of rolling hills, pastures, and coastal bluffs.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Don River Railway and Penguin Observation Centre. Visiting Guide Falls Reserve and Pencil Pine Falls and Knyvet Falls will get you outdoors. Change things up with these side-trips from Devonport: Burnie (Fern Glade Reserve, Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden, &more), Mole Creek (King Solomans Caves & Westmorland Falls) and Alum Cliffs (in Chudleigh). And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Coles Beach, get a dose of the wild on Murray's Day Out Tasmania, relax in the rural setting at The Truffledore, and stroll through Marion's Lookout Walk.

To see other places to visit, ratings, traveler tips, and tourist information, refer to the Devonport route site.
