Windermere is the largest natural lake in England. Visiting Lake Windermere and Seascale Beach will get you outdoors. Visit Silecroft Beach and Haverigg Beach for some beach relaxation. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Windermere: Hawkshead Brewery (in Staveley), Jesus Church (in Troutbeck) and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction (in Bowness-on-Windermere). There's lots more to do: see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour, explore the activities along Tarn Hows, steep yourself in history at Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Loughrigg Fell.

Penrith is a market town and civil parish in the county of Cumbria, England. Step out of the city life by going to Aira Force Waterfall and Derwentwater. Lowther Castle and Gardens and Sizergh Castle will appeal to history buffs.
