Located just off Crete's southwestern corner, Elafonissi offers an alternative vacation idea for those looking to avoid the larger, more crowded Greek islands.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Fri): get outside with Deliana Gorge. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Aspri Limni Beach, trek along Elafonisi Viewpoint, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Elafonissi Beach.

Dublin, Ireland to Elafonissi is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time to Eastern European Standard Time is 2 hours. When traveling from Dublin in July, plan for much warmer days and a bit warmer nights in Elafonissi: temperatures range from 37°C by day to 25°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Chania Town.
