As the country's biggest port and one of the busiest in all of Europe, Hamburg has a well-deserved reputation as Germany's Gateway to the World.
Head to Jungfernstieg and Elbphilharmoniefor some retail therapy. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Port of Hamburg and Room Escape Games. Change things up with a short trip to Lubeck Altstadt (Lubeck Oldtown) in Lubeck (about 1h 05 min away). And it doesn't end there: wander the streets of Aussenalster, appreciate the extensive heritage of Speicherstadt, admire the striking features of Townhall, and walk around Park Planten un Blomen.
