Cultural capital of South America, Buenos Aires remains one of the largest cities on the continent, serving as a point of departure for exploring the rest of the country.
Get a sense of the local culture at Puerto Madero and Plaza de Mayo. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and Museo Gauchesco y Parque Criollo Ricardo Guiraldes. The gateway to a national park inscribed on the World Heritage List, growing Puerto Iguazu sits on the confluence of two major rivers near the border with Paraguay and Brazil.
On the 30th (Mon), head off the coast to Isla San Martin, then stop by Duty Free Shop Puerto Iguazu, and then wander the streets of Puerto Iguazu. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Salto Bernabe Mendez and then take in the dramatic scenery at Iguazu Falls.
