Step out of Ieper (Ypres) with an excursion to De Panne Beach in De Panne--about 40 minutes away. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): step into the grandiose world of Chateau de Seneffe, then take a peaceful walk through Hallerbos – ‘'The Blue Forest’', then see the interesting displays at Musee royal de Mariemont, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Posterie. Keep things going the next day: learn about all things military at Musee international du Carnaval et du Masque, explore the different monuments and memorials at St Symphorien Military Cemetery, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Collegiale Sainte-Waudru, and finally admire the masterpieces at Francois Duesberg Museum.

Get in touch with nature at Parc de Furfooz and Domaine de Berinzenne.
