Get in touch with nature at Bronte Beach and The Opera House to the Botanic Gardens Walk. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Dolphin & Whale Watching and Sydney Jewish Museum. Visit Greenmount Beach and Kirra Beach for some beach relaxation. Get outdoors at Lennox Head Beach and Springbrook National Park. Get out of town with these interesting Gold Coast side-trips: Victoria Park Nature Reserve (in Alstonville) and Fingal Head Lighthouse (in Fingal Head). Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Museum-lovers will get to explore The Workshops Rail Museum and Opal Museum. Get some cultural insight at Old St Stephen's Catholic Church (Pugin Chapel) and Nepalese Pagoda. When in Brisbane, make a side trip to see Daisy Hill Conservation Park in Daisy Hill, approximately 46 minutes away. Spend the 12th (Wed) observing fascinating marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour. Next up on the itinerary: look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and stop by Noosa Chocolate Factory.
