Famed for its neat vineyards and thriving wine production, Mendoza remains the place to visit for a pleasant combination of relaxation and recreation.
Explore hidden gems such as River Rafting & Tubing and Bodega Roberto Bonfanti. Step out of the city life by going to Los Pingos Horse Riding and El Camino de las 365 Curvas. Venture out of the city with trips to Maipu (Casa El Enemigo & Carinae Vinedos & Bodega). There's still lots to do: do a tasting at Bodega Tierras Altas and ponder the design of Fuente de los Continentes.

San Juan, Puerto Rico to Mendoza is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus. The time zone difference moving from Atlantic Standard Time (AST) to Argentine Time (ART) is 1 hour. Traveling from San Juan in December, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Mendoza, with lows of 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Wed) to allow time to travel to Ushuaia.

Often called the "End of the World" because of its position on the southernmost tip of South America, the expanding city of Ushuaia serves as both a busy commercial port and attractive tourist hub.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ushuaia Bay and Glaciar Martial. Step out of the city life by going to Lago Roca and Nature & Wildlife Tours. There's much more to do: step off the mainland to explore Isla Martillo, appreciate the history behind Monumento Antiguos Pobladores de Ushuaia, see the world from above with a helicopter tour, and kick back and relax at Playa Larga.

Getting from Mendoza to Ushuaia by flight takes about 7 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or take a bus. In December, Ushuaia is colder than Mendoza - with highs of 13°C and lows of 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sat) so you can travel to Buenos Aires.
