Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.
Van Gogh Museum and The Jordaan are good opportunities to explore the local culture. For shopping fun, head to Leidseplein or Bloemenmarkt. Change things up with these side-trips from Amsterdam: Strand Bloemendaal Aan Zee (in Bloemendaal), Frans Hals Museum (in Haarlem) and Zandvoort aan Zee (in Zandvoort). Manama, Bahrain to Amsterdam is an approximately 11-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Manama to Amsterdam.
