While often overshadowed by the Amalfi Coast's array of quaint villages, Salerno has become one of the region's main areas for culture and entertainment, while remaining relatively unmarked by tourism.
Get some cultural insight at Le Vigne di Raito and Sol’Art Ceramiche. Your inner history buff will appreciate Castello di San Nicola de Thoro-Plano and Salerno War Cemetery. Change things up with these side-trips from Salerno: Spiaggia di castiglione (in Castiglione) and Spiaggia Lannio (in Cetara).
