More than 20 million people call Cairo their home and, as soon as you set foot in the sprawling metropolis, it's evident they make it crowded and chaotic, but also exuberant and charming.
Get some historical perspective at Giza Plateau and Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids. Step out of the city life by going to Safaris and Nile River. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Mosque of Muhammad Ali, explore the ancient world of Bent Pyramid, admire the striking features of Hanging Church (El Muallaqa, Sitt Mariam, St Mary), and walk around Al-Azhar Park.

Traveling by flight from Marrakech to Cairo takes 9.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and flight. You'll lose 2 hours traveling from Marrakech to Cairo due to the time zone difference. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Marrakech in October since evenings lows in Cairo dip to 24°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Mon) early enough to travel to Kigali.
