Wollongong, informally referred to as "The Gong", is a seaside city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Kids will appreciate attractions like Jamberoo Action Park and Jenolan Caves. Get out of town with these interesting Wollongong side-trips: Hyams Beach (in Jervis Bay), Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame (in Bowral) and Appleshack at Glenbernie Orchard (in Darkes Forest). There's still lots to do: get to know the resident critters at Symbio Wildlife Park, explore the striking landscape at Kiama Blowhole, enjoy the sand and surf at Port Kembla Beach, and meet the residents at Shoalhaven Zoo.
