You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Las Vegas to Moab due to the time zone difference. In July, Moab is slightly colder than Las Vegas - with highs of 97°F and lows of 67°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Durango.

Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
