Dallas, USA to Bangkok is an approximately 23-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 13 hours traveling from Dallas to Bangkok. Traveling from Dallas in December, things will get much hotter in Bangkok: highs are around 87°F and lows about 73°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Krabi Town.

Getting from Bangkok to Krabi Town by combination of flight and bus takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. January in Krabi Town sees daily highs of 89°F and lows of 72°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Patong.

You can do a combination of bus and flight from Patong to Chiang Mai in 5.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Patong in January, plan for a bit cooler nights in Chiang Mai, with lows around 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 11th (Sat) to allow time for travel back home.
