The city of Shimla spreads out across a ridge, offering views of Himalayan scenery all around.

People visit Manali for a number of reasons, but all of them revolve around the landscape.

On the 1st (Sat), take in the natural beauty of Vashisht Baths, appreciate the views at Solang Valley, then explore the activities along Beas River, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hidimba Devi Temple. On the next day, get great views at Gulaba, then identify plant and animal life at Rani Nallah, and then take a memorable drive along Rohtang Pass.

You can drive from Shimla to Manali in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 3rd (Mon) to allow enough time to drive back home.

The hill station of Dharamsala's reputation stems from its large community of exiled Tibetan Buddhists, including the Dalai Lama.

On the 4th (Tue), take in the awesome beauty at Triund Hill, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. John, and then admire all the interesting features of Norbulingka Institute. Keep things going the next day: explore the activities along Dal Lake, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, then take in the dramatic scenery at Bhagsu Waterfall, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Bhagsunath Temple.
