Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. On the 9th (Mon), make a trip to Neptune's Staircase, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Nevis Range Mountain Resort, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ben Nevis, and finally admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall. On the 10th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: cruise along Morar Beach, then identify plant and animal life at Glencoe Lochan, and then identify plant and animal life at Highland Titles Nature Reserve.

Edinburgh to Fort William is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and bus; or take a train. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can drive to Isle of Skye.
