Curtea de Argeș is a city in Romania on the right bank of the Argeş River, where it flows through a valley of the lower Carpathians (the Făgăraș Mountains), on the railway from Pitești to the Turnu Roșu Pass. Start off your visit on the 9th (Tue): admire the engineering at Vidraru Dam, then take a memorable drive along Transfagarasan Highway, and then get engrossed in the history at Anton Pann Memorial House.
