Quebec's economic and cultural capital, Montreal serves as the province's major point of entry, known for its rich history and high standard of living.
Get outdoors at Marais de la Riviere aux Cerises and Centre de la Nature Mont Saint-Hilaire. Abbaye de Saint-Benoit-du-Lac and Notre-Dame Basilica are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Montreal side-trips: Mont Orford (in Orford), Musee International d'Art Naif (in Magog) and Val Caudalies (in Dunham). Next up on the itinerary: get a new perspective on nature at Biodome de Montreal, witness the site of a historic battle at Place Jacques-Cartier, stroll through Chambly Canal, and admire the masterpieces at Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal.

For where to stay, photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, refer to the Montreal road trip planning app.

Dallas, USA to Montreal is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Dallas to Montreal. Prepare for colder weather when traveling from Dallas in December: high temperatures in Montreal hover around °F and lows are around °F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Quebec City.
